TITLE: Your Spiritual Identity

David F. Stevens, C.S.B.

A member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship

David Stevens speaks throughout the United States and in Canada about practical spirituality, prayer, problem solving, and healing. He has spoken in university classrooms, hospitals, correctional facilities, and for conferences, and civic and church groups. Recently his work has included a focus on men’s spirituality addressing issues such as alcohol and drug abuse, and domestic violence. His approach is interactive and conversational. He also works with youth, conducting interactive talks with middle school, high school, and college students, as well as those in correctional institutions.

Dave’s lifelong commitment to education includes a Master’s Degree from Harvard University. As a high school Biology teacher, athletic coach, college counselor, and college dean, he utilized the ideas of Mary Baker Eddy’s Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures to help bring out the capabilities of students. A spiritual perspective about humanity’s potential has grounded his approach to coaching community youth, and high school and college athletics, and was instrumental in leading him to a career in spiritual healing.

For the past 15 years, Dave has been based in Petaluma, California, where he works as a Christian Science practitioner, is active in interfaith work, serves on the boards of non-profit organizations, and is a husband, and father of two young adults.
